march 2008/7 Miche Primato hub radial/3-cross on Mavic Open Pro

A classic combination and I have exactly the same hub and rim combo on my own bike. Radial front and 3-cross rear. 32-hole Mavic Open Pro rims in silver with Miche Primato Large flange track hubs. The spokes are DT Swiss Competition double butted. Once again the radially laced wheel had its threads dipped in linseed oil to act as a thread locker.

I really love to work with Mavic Open Pro. The sealed holes for one thing so that you don’t lose your nipple. But they are just very solidly built. Most other rims tend to have a bit of a problem at the join, but not these and they seem to be close to true from the word go. They can take a lot of tension as well. Good to see others using the same combo as me.
