colour scheme tool
Check out this great little online colour scheme tool. If you’re like me and know about the existance of the colour wheel and then nothing more after that, here’s a simple way to design pages where the colour scheme will be coherent. You can pick your base colour from the spectrum or you can put in your hex value. Then just choose your type of scheme. After that you have a colour palette. And you get all the hex values as well. A trained up graphic designer would probably want a bit more than this, but for self taught people like me this is very handy and useful. Here’s the link.
There’s nothing to tell you if the colour will be web safe. You could take a risk or you could test. Better to test if you want to be sure. If you’re on a mac then have a look on Windows Gamma setting or vice versa.
