july 2008/23 Suzue Pro Max on Mavic CXP-33 3-cross
Suzue Pro Max on Mavic CXP 33. The plan was to build these wheels with a radial front and 3-cross rear patterns. But I found it difficult to source the two spoke lengths at a good price. My usual sources had one or the other. And ordering the spokes from two sources would have meant double the postal costs. In the end I found someone on ebay selling the required length at a very reasonable price. So it was 3-cross front and rear.
Spoke length was 285mm using DT Champion plain gauge spokes and brass nipples. It was the first time that I had used these hubs. They were similar to the Campy record hubs in spec. Very nice.
