Dalgety – Extra Extra Hot Pepper sauce

I have been meaning to start a chili sauce section in my blog for ages and I’m glad that I’ve finally got around to it. Here is one of my favourites and one that usually accompanies my breakfast of crumpets with marmite and stilton.
Of all places I discovered this at the Well Being health food shop in Sydenham, South East London. Dalgety used to be based in Forest Hill which is very close to Sydenham and if you look at the label it still says so. But you’ll get more up to date information on their website.
Dalgety Extra Extra Hot Pepper Sauce
It’s made with Habanero Peppers, Tiger Teeth Peppers and Scotch Bonnets. All the big players in one bottle. You don’t need much of this but over the years that I’ve been using it I have got used to it. Some sauces have a sort of afterburn or sting but this one hits you straight away. And even though vinegar is one of the main ingredients it’s not as sour as some other sauces that I’ve tried. It’s an excellent blend of the three peppers in my opinion and goes with any kind of savoury food. I especially like it with scrambled eggs.
If you’re a hot sauce conniseur then you won’t be disappointed with this one.
