My new weekly structure is working well

In the march 2010 monthly report I mentioned that I have come up with a way to manage all the things that I’m doing and that is to have designated time slots for each pursuit rather do them as and when. And it seems to be going rather well. It seems so obvious now I wonder why I hadn’t done it before. I feel that I can focus a lot more on what I’m doing rather than worrying about what else needs to be done. Well, so far it’s good. It feels a bit like my old system of Plan the Week but somehow it got dropped when GTD came into play but was never really implemented fully. So far so good.

As a result of this I got through a load of emails and managed to get a fair bit of study done. I even managed to imagine a concept and create the idea in software. It’s not anything advanced but certainly advanced for my own level of learning. The next step would be to put a GUI onto it and learn how to save all the data in a file. That would be a huge step forward. But just writing a class that has more than one class is a pretty big achievement for me. Still really liking this whole java business.
