london fixed gear forum
london fixed gear and single speed
How London has managed to survive without such a site I fail to comprehend. Being a fixed gear rider of only two years standing, not only have I been on one gear but it seems on my own. There are many fixed gear riders in London but none that I know. Being a builder of bicycle wheels, particularly fixed, I happen upon riders in passing, but in no greater capacity than that. So I’m very much on my own and feel as though I’m the only one. I’m always thrilled to see other fixed riders but can’t very well stop on the road for a chat during a commute.
So now’s my chance to put “Fixie rider WLTM other fixie rider to discuss gear ratios and trackstands.”

Hi,
I’m in Nottingham and I share your feeling of near uniqueness.
I commute on a 42×16 Langster everyday only the short 11mile round trip to work and back into the city and I just love riding fixed. I have seen a mountain biker pushing a fixie in the city and I’ve wondered if he ever rides off road on it (!)
The fgss site is great isn’t it. The lack of others makes it a wealth of information discussed by decent people in a humourous way.
I read your entry and thought I would give you my 2pence worth. Your not alone in thinking your alone.
