10,000 miles on fixed gear

The typical thing to do is to go for a meal every thousand miles. But this one beckons a bigger celebration.
Every 1000 miles I celebrate by having a meal or marking the occasion in some way. This week was the completion of 8000 miles on this particular cycle computer. All on fixed gear of course. Mainly commuting around London and a few trips down into the countryside in Kent and two trips down to Brighton.
It was only two weeks ago that I posted that I had set a personal best mileage of 127 miles. Well I have already surpassed that record and completed 134 miles this week. I feel fitter and stronger than ever and next week I’m looking forward to my first trip to the Herne Hill track. […]
This is my first post in this new category called personal best. Last week I exceeded my goal of 100 miles a week by a quite a large amount and clocked up 127 miles. I wonder if I will ever beat that this year?
